[,UNEXPIRE][,NOINTAL]
Control Statement Definition
Is the control statement identifier. It must start in position 1 and be followed by a space.
Is the volume serial number of the volume to be updated. If two volume serial numbers are indicated (separated by a dash), all volume serial numbers in this inclusive range are selected for update processing. If a range is requested, the NOCHAIN option must be specified. No volumes outside of the specified range are modified.
Indicates the data set name does not have to be verified.
Indicates the volume to be updated is the second or higher volume sequence of a multivolume data set. Use this with caution because multivolume pointers may be affected. If NOCHAIN is omitted and the VOL control statement is for the first volume of a multivolume data set, updates to any of the listed fields are automatically made for all volumes of that multivolume data set. The fields are:
ACCT LDATE BLKSIZE LJOB CJOB or J LPGM CDATE or C LRECL CPGM LTIME CSTEP OUTCODE or O CTIME OUTDATE DEN RECFM DSN or D SMSMC EXPDT or E TRTCH LABEL
If NOCHAIN is specified, the updates are made only to the specified volume.
Indicates that updates to the TMC Volume record should be made only if the volume is in scratch status.
Indicates that the scratch bit is always turned off following an update. If this operand is omitted, the status of FLAG1 is ignored.
Indicates that the volume being updated will not have the internal field updated indicator turned on (X'80' in FLAG1).
