The CTLx/DSNB control statement identifies the type of record to inquire on or update. The format for the CTLx/DSNB control statement is:

CTLx [NOVER] or DSNB nnnnnn [,NOVER]
Control Statement Definition
Indicates Control Record #x is to be inquired on or updated. CTLx must start in position 1 and be followed by a space.
Indicates a DSNB record is to be inquired on or updated. DSNB must start in position 1 and be followed by a space.
Is the DSNB number.
Indicates verification is not required before updating the associated record. If NOVER is omitted, verification is required.
