TMSUDSNB Control Statements - Control Record #2 Maintenance

Updates to TMSCTL#2 should be performed only when there is no TMC activity. It is recommended that the verify operation be performed when updating TMSCTL#2. The samples below assume that PARM=NOVER was not coded.

• Update the NXAVAIL pointer to an unused DSNB chain:

  PASSWORD=system-password
  CTL2
  VER RECID=TMSCTL#2
  VER NXAVAIL=current-value
  REP NXAVAIL=correct-DSNB-number
  

• Update the USED field to the correct value:

  PASSWORD=system-password
  CTL2
  VER RECID=TMSCTL#2
  VER USED=current-value
  REP USED=correct-number-in-use
