The control statements for TMSOSCAT are free-form and cannot exceed position 71. Additional records are added to continue a control statement.
The keyword and its operand must be contained in one control statement. Each set of keywords and operands on a control statement are separated by a comma except for the last keyword and operand which is delimited by a blank. The format for the control statement is:
keyword=value,...,keyword=value
Control Statement Definition
YES specifies only unexpired records that are not in scratch or delete status. NO is the default and causes all active (nondelete status) records to be processed.
YES specifies only TMC records under Catalog Control are to be processed. If EXPCATLG=YES is specified, VALID=YES is assumed. NO is the default.
Note: The EXPCATLG and EDM control statements are mutually exclusive.
YES specifies that only TMC records that have the TMISCAT FLAG4 X'08' (DSNBISCA FLAG1 X'08' for DSNBs) indicator on are processed. If I=YES is specified, VALID=YES is assumed. ISCAT is mutually exclusive with EXPCATLG, SCRTCH, and EDM.
Specifies only TMC records with a creation date greater than CDATE.
Is the number of days from the current date. Four digits must be specified.
Is the actual date. Delimiters are required if the actual date contains blanks or commas.
YES specifies only active (nondelete status), scratched TMC records are to be processed. SCRTCH=YES (S=YES) is mutually exclusive with VALID=YES and EXPCATLG=YES. NO is the default.
Specifies only TMC and system catalog records with nodes (high-level index) matching one of the nodes in the value list are to be processed. Each node is specified as one to eight characters. A maximum of eight nodes may be specified.
An entry is made on an internal list of the data sets found in the TMC and system catalog which do not match. LOCATE=YES (L=YES) issues a LOCATE to the MVS catalog for each entry on the list. If LOCATE=NO (L=NO) is specified, a LOCATE is not issued. NO is the default.
Determines the report sequence.
Produces a report in data set name sequence. Specifying DSN means that you consider the entries in the system catalog to be correct. DSN is the default.
Produces a report in volume serial number sequence. Specifying VSN means that you consider the entries in the TMC to be correct.
Determines the report contents.
Produces a report containing totals only, instead of complete detail with totals.
Produces a report containing error detail and totals.
Note: If RC= is not specified, the report is a detailed list of all files selected, with or without errors.
Indicates whether tapes controlled by EDM are to be considered by the program.
Indicates that EDM tapes are to be included.
Indicates that EDM tapes are to be excluded.
Default: NO
Note: The EXPCATLG and EDM control statements are mutually exclusive.
Marks the end of a set of control statements and the start of another set. Must be in position 1. More than one set of control statements may be in SYSIN. For each set, TMSOSCAT sets the options specified by the set and processes the catalogs.
At the end of processing for a set, all options are reset. The last set should not be terminated by a $.
