TMOEDMxx contains the rules for identifying a tape as controlled by an External Data Manager (EDM). TMSINIT loads the rules into an internal table and sorts the rules in ascending sequence (most to least specific) by data set name, program name, job name and ddname. The sorted table is then loaded into common storage.You can define multiple rules with pattern matching capabilities and exits to be used in determining whether a volume is EDM controlled.
