Defining and Changing Installation Options

When TMSINIT is run, hlq.CTAPOPTN contains the members that specify the installation options. Eight members are required.

Instructions for control statements on the hlq.CTAPOPTN members are documented in the Programming Guide.

NOTE: Because TMSINIT loads the CA 1 SMF Accounting exits, you may need to have the accounting exits enabled early in the IPL process. You can have L0C6INIT execute TMSINIT directly. Include the //TMSOPTNS, //TMSRPT, //TEMPAUDT, and //TMSPARM DD statements from TMSINIT into the CAS9 proc itself. If you are using the Real-time Retention Data Set (RDS), also include the //TMSRDS DD statement.

This parameter is strictly optional. The parameter allows for TMSINIT to be executed as part of the CAS9 process itself. The functionality is not executed in a stand-alone fashion after CAS9 has completed.

If using L0C6INIT to execute TMSINIT directly, the START TMSINIT in the CAUTOCMD or COMMNDxx member in SYS1.PARMLIB is not required.
