Control Statement Specification

There are three classes of control statements:

• CONTROL-SECTION
• PROCESS-SECTION
• REPORT-SECTION

For each class of control statement, there is a separate section. Within each section there are several types of control statements, which are described under the section in which they appear. In addition, one control statement, the INCLUDE control statement, may appear in any one of the three sections. The INCLUDE control statement is discussed first, before the control statements unique to each separate section.

Each execution of TMSGRW requires at least one control statement for each section. The sections must appear in the order shown.

You may include comment statements by placing an asterisk (*) in position 1. Text for a comment may appear anywhere between positions 2 and 80 inclusive.

Examples of TMSGRW control statements and the reports they produce are provided after the description of the various control statements.
