User-Defined Output

You are able to define the contents and format of the TMSGRW report. Through the use of control statements, you can:

• Specify the sort sequence of the report.
• Define the width and length of the printed report page.
• Specify the report title or page heading. The report title is centered and printed at the top of each page.
• Specify a footer line. This line is printed at the end of the report.
• Define the TMC/Audit fields to be printed for each record.
• Specify the sequence of the printed fields across the page.
• Specify column headings for the printed fields.
• Request a top-of-form if the value of the major sort field changes.

Complete instructions on defining the report output are found in the paragraphs covering the REPORT-SECTION. At the end of the report, the number of input records read (into the sort, if sorted) and the number of records selected for output are printed.

The TMS logo (banner) pages preceding the report will reflect the date of program execution. Any other date must be specifically defined in the report title, for example, DDMMM YYYY. The TMC/Audit fields requested must fit into the specified width of the page, up to a maximum of 132 characters. Each field or column is separated by three spaces. The width of each column equals the greatest of: the length of column heading 1, the length of column heading 2, or the maximum length of the TMC/Audit field in character (EBCDIC) format. For example, the width of the following column is eight positions. The first column heading, CREATION, has the longest length.
