Job Control Statements
//stepname EXEC PGM=TMSFORMT
//STEPLIB DD DSN=CAI.CTAPLINK,DISP=SHR
//TMSRPT DD SYSOUT=A
//AUDIT DD DSN=CAI.CA1.AUDIT,DISP=OLD,DCB=BLKSIZE=n*370 *NOTE
//RESTORE DD DUMMY
//TMDATA DD DUMMY,DCB=(BLKSIZE=340,BUFNO=60)
//SYSIN DD *
(control statements here)
/*
Notes:
- The BLKSIZE may be any multiple of the LRECL, 370. Formatting of the Audit does fill all of the allocated blocks, which can result in more records being formatted than specified. For example, formatting 16,000 records on a 3380 device, blocked at 8880, will yield 16,008 records in a single extent 10 cylinder allocation.
- When formatting the audit for BLOCKSET mode, there is a minimum BLKSIZE of 4440 and a minimum file size of 100 blocks. One additional block for the control records is added automatically.
JCL Considerations
- AUDIT DD
-
Defines the new Audit data set.
- RESTORE DD
-
Must be present and must be specified as DD DUMMY.
- TMDATA
-
Must be present and must be specified as:
DD DUMMY,DCB=BLKSIZE=340
- SYSIN DD
-
Defines the control statement data set. This may be any sequentially readable data set (LRECL=80) or may be specified in-stream.
