Note: The most explicit entries are processed first.
The example using LABEL=EXPDT=15APR2005 sets a preferred date expiration of April 15, 2005. LABEL=EXPDT=CATLG indicates the data set is to be placed under Catalog Control.
LABEL=WRETPD=30 adds 30 working days to the creation date of the data set to arrive at the new expiration date. Depending on the day of the week the tape was created, the data set in this example would be held between 40 and 42 days.
The example, LABEL=EXPDT=PERM, uses the CA 1 keyword PERM to specify permanent hold. The next two examples indicate that the user has separate hold criteria for the same data set name. This is accomplished by using the JOB parameter to qualify the data set name by its creating job name.
The last three examples indicate that data sets beginning with the partial data set name of BACKUP are to be assigned the expiration date coded. The JOB parameter is used to further qualify which data sets within that partial data set name group are to be assigned the permanent hold expiration date (PERM) or Catalog Control (CATLG).
