CLEAN Control Statement

Up to nine valid CLEAN control statements may be included in a single execution of TMSCLNOA. At least one additional keyword must be included with the CLEAN keyword. If multiple criteria keywords are included on a single statement, they must all be matched for the volume to be marked CLEAN. If multiple CLEAN control statements are used, and all the criteria keywords on any one of the CLEAN control statements are matched, the volume is marked CLEAN. The format for the CLEAN control statement is;

 CLEAN (,DAYS=ddd) (,USES=nnn) (,TR=eeeee) (,PR=eeeee) (,TW=eeeee) (,PW=eeeee)

Control Statement Definition

DAYS

Specifies the number of days that must have passed since the last cleaning. The keyword is optional and if present must be 3 numeric digits.

USES

Specifies the number of uses since the last time the volume was cleaned. The keyword is optional and if present must be 3 numeric digits.

TR / PR / TW / PW

Specifies the number of Temporary Read errors, Permanent Read errors, Temporary Write errors, or Permanent Write errors that must have occurred since the last cleaning. These keywords are all optional, and if present must be 5 numeric digits.
