FORMAT Control Statement

The FORMAT control statement is optional and is used to specify the print format for selected records. The format for the FORMAT control statement is:

Control Statement Definition

FORMAT

Is the control statement identifier and must start in position 1.

format

Specifies the print format. The values for format are:

SHORT

Only the most significant fields are printed. One line of data per Audit record appears on the report. This is the default.

LONG

All fields are printed, and nine lines of data per Audit record appears on the report.

DUMP

The record is printed in character and hexadecimal format.
