CA1_AUDIT_VRFY_WITHIN_MED_THRSH

Description

This is the secondary check to monitor space in the CA 1 Audit file. This check is triggered because no steps were taken after an exception was raised by the low check that space is running short in the Audit file. The default interval for this check is every 30 minutes and the exception interval is every 30 minutes.

Best Practice

Run the TMSCOPY utility regularly to help ensure that space is available. For most installations this can be done once a day. The TMSCOPY utility creates a backup of the Audit file and resets the internal pointers in the active Audit file to empty status. If this check triggers frequently, consider allocating a larger Audit file on disk.

Parameters Accepted

This check accepts one parameter: MED_CHECK_THAUDT_MINUS(nn).

The value specified in MED_CHECK_THAUDT_MINUS(nn) will be subtracted from the percentage specified in THAUDT in CTAPOPTNs to determine when to trigger this alert. This parameter must be an integer in the range of 1-30. The default is: MED_CHECK_THAUDT_MINUS(10).
