Maintain Multivolume and Multi-Data Set Chains

Analyze multi-volume, multi-data set, and DSNB free chains regularly to prevent possible CA 1 abends of your tape jobs.

The batch program, TMSPTRS, or the Automatic Pointer Error Correction (APEC) feature is used to detect and report any chaining errors in the TMC.
