Controlling the Phone Home Policy

In addition to the traditional subnet Discovery Election Methods, you can also create and use a Phone Home policy on CA TM clients. Per a defined schedule specified in the Phone Home policy, the CA TM client sends a notification and policy consistency check to the CA TM Server.

Note: If the local IP range of the client does not exist within the CA TM Server, Phone Home creates a new subnet in the Subnets area on the Discovery tab of the CA TM Console. If too many subnets are created, this can become a management issue.

You can control the Phone Home's automatic subnet creation process using the following registry keys:
