Data Encryption Using Secure Socket Layer (SSL)

CA XCOM Data Transport uses OpenSSL and IBM SystemSSL to utilize the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) to perform secure TCP/IP transfers on z/OS platforms running CA XCOM Data Transport v12.0 and above that support secure (SSL) TCP/IP. A secure (SSL) TCP/IP transfer allows for the encryption of the transmitted data and adds a digital signature to the encryption of the transmitted data.
