Reason:
Before a program can begin communicating with other systems, it must first issue an OPEN macro, using a VTAM control block called an ACB. The ACB identifies which VTAM Application ID you will use. The APPLID is displayed in the zzzzzzzz operand of this message. The xx operand is the return code from the OPEN macro; yy is the ACB error flag (field ACBERFLG in the ACB).
Action:
Contact your systems programming staff to resolve this problem. Check that you are using the correct APPLID ensuring that it has been spelled correctly. Also, check that its major node has been activated and the status of the APPLID prior to running this job is connectable. The IBM documentation describes the error codes provided by the xx and yy operands of the message in the text describing the OPEN macro.
