Expiration Date

Specifies the date when the data set is purged from tape.

yyddd: Specifies the expiration date of the tape data set. The expiration date is indicated with a two‑digit designation for the year and a three‑digit designation for the day of the year. For example, the expiration date 09021 represents year 2009 and the 21st day of that year.
yyyy/ddd: Specifies the expiration date of the tape data set. The expiration date is indicated with a four‑digit designation for the year and a three‑digit designation for the day of the year. For example, the expiration date 2009/021 represents year 2009 and the 21st day of that year.
+1 to +9999: Specifies the number of days the data set is retained. For example, +30 means that the data set is kept for 30 days before being purged from tape.
