hold

Indicates whether the transferred report file is to be placed on HOLD status on the remote system or is to be readied for immediate printing. Specify Y to request that it be held (spooled) on an MVS system.

Range: YES or NO

Default: NO

hold_transfer

This parameter prevents a TYPE=SCHEDULE transfer from starting until explicitly released.

YES

This transfer is not initiated until it is released in one of the following ways:

• Through the CA XCOM Data Transport GUI
• By an operator with a RELEASE command
• With the command, xcomqm -Annnnnn where nnnnnn is the TID number (Transaction ID).

Note: The XCOMQM command provides access to information about the transfers in the queue. For information about using XCOMQM, see the chapter "Operating Environment" earlier in this guide.

• Through the XTC facility

This transfer is not held.
