Use XCOMENCR to encrypt selected parameter values in an existing configuration file. When XCOMENCR encounters a line with #!ENCRYPT, it changes the next non-comment line from
PARAMETER=VALUE
to
PARAMETER.ENCRYPTED=ENCRYPTEDVALUE
Example
Before encryption:
PASSWORD=ENIGMA
After encryption:
PASSWORD.ENCRYPTED=12 0F 36 79 65 AB D0 37 ...
Default: Up to 32 hexadecimal characters
