Setting Up Log Files

CA XCOM Data Transport automatically collects information about transfers and stores it in a log file. Read the log file to see information about transfers. The log indicates information such as when a transfer was started, stopped, completed, deleted, suspended, or aged off of the queue. For each transfer, it shows the time, date, transfer ID and number of blocks and bytes transmitted.

Example 1

In the following example, the xcom62 command is used. The configuration file is /tmp/myconfig and the log file is /home/phil/xcom/mylog.

xcom62 -c1 -f /tmp/myconfig XLOGFILE=/home/phil/xcom/mylog

Example 2

In the following example, the xcomtcp command is used. The configuration file is /tmp/myconfig and the log file is /home/phil/xcom/mylog.

xcomtcp -c1 -f /tmp/myconfig XLOGFILE=/home/phil/xcom/mylog
