Multiple Windows PCs and multiple Linux/UNIX workstations can share the same XCOM History Table. Therefore the database only needs to be installed once. However the ODBC and JDBC drivers must be installed on the same machines that XCOM is installed on.
The 32-bit version of ODBC must be installed. To obtain the ODBC software visit www.unixODBC.org. To install ODBC follow the instructions that come with the ODBC software.
In addition to the ODBC software, the database software has its own ODBC driver that must be installed.
The MySQL ODBC driver can be downloaded from: http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/odbc/
The DB2 ODBC driver is part of IBM’s DB2 product
