The CA XCOM Gateway staging area is a physical storage area on disk that is used to hold files that have been imported into CA XCOM Gateway. Both the CA XCOM Gateway server and its companion CA XCOM Data Transport server require access to the staging area. So it must either be located on the same server or be accessible from that server as a network drive.
