ALLOC

Specifies the default type of space allocation that is to be used for file transfers to a new data set.

BLKS

Specifies that space is allocated in blocks.

CYLS

Specifies that space is allocated in cylinders.

TRKS

Specifies that space is allocated in tracks.

RECORDS

Specifies that space is allocated in records.

Default: CYLS

Note: Related parameters are CATALOG, PRI, SEC, UNIT, VOL, DIR, PSOUNIT, and PSOVOL.
