Components of Logical and Physical Network

An SNA network is divided into physical and logical components.

The physical network consists of the following:

• Actual processors called nodes
• Data links between the nodes

The logical network consists of a set of software components called NAUs that include the following:

• Logical units (LUs)
• Physical units (PUs)
• System services control points (SSCPs)
