Database Requirements

A relational database is required only if you are using one or more of the following features:

• History records
• Trusted transfer

CA XCOM Data Transport for Linux s390x has been developed to work with industry standard relational databases.

CA XCOM Data Transport for Linux s390x requires one of the following databases:

• MySQL v5 or later
• IBM DB2 v9.5 or later

Note:

• The database client (ODBC) must be on the same machine as CA XCOM Data Transport for Linux s390x. However, the database is not required to be on the same machine as CA XCOM Data Transport for Linux s390x.
• Since XCOM is a 64-bit application, it requires a 64-bit version of ODBC.
