Silent (unattended) installation does not display any dialog boxes when there is an error. Instead, status information for the silent installation is written (by default) to a file called CA_XCOM_Data_Transport_Install_MO_DD_YYYY_HH_MM_SS.log in the same directory where the response file is located.
Note: MO_DD_YYYY represents the month, day, and year and HH_MM_SS represents the hour, minutes, and seconds when the installation was done.
InstallAnywhere can give warnings about various files that are open. These messages are ignored. Any file that InstallAnywhere actually updates is always updated automatically after the system is restarted. The updates are saved in the temp directory and are updated after the restart.
