The CA XCOM Gateway server needs access to a DB2 or MySQL database, in which it stores configuration and status information. The database parameters are used to define the database server information needed by CA XCOM Gateway in order to access this database.
The CA XCOM Gateway installer sets the database parameters initially, according to values entered during product installation. The installer also verifies the parameters by ensuring the ability to connect to the designated server. These parameters can be changed later, and changes are accepted only if CA XCOM Gateway retains its ability to connect to the database server and access its database.
The Datasource name identifies the JDBC data source, which defines the database server to be used.
The User id and Password are used by CA XCOM Gateway to access and update its database tables. The specified user must have full access rights to all objects in CA XCOM Gateway’s database, including the tables and indexes.
