Check the status File from PASE

The status file describes the status of the agent core. To verify the agent is running or a controlled shutdown has occurred, check the status file.

To check the status file from PASE

  1. Open a PASE terminal session.
  2. Change to the agent installation directory.
  3. Enter the following command:
    cat status
    

    The contents of the status file appear.

Example: Check the status file

The following response shows the agent is running. The number - 1507 in this example is the process ID (PID) for the agent process.

The following response indicates the agent is not running.

Inactive

The agent was shut down in a controlled manner as shown in the default_Agent.log.
