Agents are the key integration components of CA Workload Automation products. Agents let you automate, monitor, and manage workload on all major platforms, applications, and databases. CA Workload Automation Agent for HP Integrity NonStop provides cross-platform scheduling capabilities to the various CA Workload Automation scheduling managers by enabling them to schedule and track jobs across platforms. The scheduling manager initiates a job. CA Workload Automation Agent for HP Integrity NonStop processes the request, monitors the job, and provides the scheduling manager with event information for status updates. Users can view the CA WA Agent for HP Integrity NonStop generated messages through CA Event Management. CA Common Services (CCS) or CA NSM Job Management Option provides Event Management.
To run workload on a particular system, you install an agent on that system. The ability for the agent to accept jobs from many CA Workload Automation scheduling managers demonstrates the integration of CA Workload Automation solutions.
