ICOM IS TURNING OFF USE OF XCF; REVERTING TO USE OF COMMDS. CALL SUPPORT.
Reason:
For a reason described in an earlier message, ICOM has stopped using XCF to send SMF buffers to CA7ONL and switched to COMMDS. The XCFDS and XCFCKPT data sets are now out of synchronization and action must be taken before XCF can be used again.
Action:
Before using XCF again, perform one of the following procedures:
- For assistance, contact CA Support at http://ca.com/support.
- Perform the following actions:
- Shut down ICOM.
- Use job N705 in JCLLIB to reinitialize the XCFDS data set.
- Do one of the following:
- Issue the online /XCF command for the ICOM that switched to COMMDS.
- Shut down CA7ONL. Use job N707 in JCLLIB to reinitialize the XCFCKPT data set.
- Now, you can safely restart ICOM specifying XCF=SMF. If CA7ONL was shut down, you can restart it and use XCF.
