LOC Command

The LOC command lists catalog contents for one or more data sets. This function is available on the UT Menu panel as FUNCTION value 19 or on any other menu or formatted panel as FUNCTION value UT.19.

This command has the following format:

LOC,DSN=dsname[,VOLSER=volser]
DSN

Defines the data set whose catalog contents you want to list. The name can be a fully qualified name, a generic request, or a relative request for a generation data set. A generic request is specified by the desired index levels followed by a period.

Limits: 1 to 44 alphanumeric characters

VOLSER

(Optional) Defines the volume serial number that contains the CVOL catalog to be listed. If the high-level node is defined in the master catalog, this parameter is not needed. Otherwise, code it.

Limits: 1 to 6 alphanumeric characters
