Dumps of CA7ONL

To ensure that adequate areas of MVS storage are included in any dump from an abend that occurs in any CA WA CA 7 Edition component (or any address space dump that CA Support requests), include the following in the appropriate IEADMa00 members in SYS1.PARMLIB:

SDATA=(CSA,LPA,LSQA,PSA,RGN,SQA,SUM,TRT,GRSQ)

With Version 12.0, 64-bit storage is allocated for many prime areas, such as active workload queues. As a result, the SYSUDMP is no longer sufficient for the problem resolution. The JCL procedure for CA7ONL now uses the ddname SYSMDUMP and routes the data to a generation data group. If CA7ONL is shut down cleanly (with RC = 0), the GDG is deleted. If CA7ONL issues an abend, the SYSMDUMP data set is retained for further examination.

Business Value:

Using the correct dump values can help solve issues quicker.
