Add VTAM Terminals
As you give new users access to CA7ONL, you sometimes need to add terminals. If you need additional terminals in CA7ONL, update the initialization file.
- If you have used our defaults, change the VTM#nnn (where nnn is the number of terminals available) on the LINE and TERM statements. After this change, perform a specified ERST type start.
- If you have not used the defaults for virtual terminal naming, you have a VTNAME=xxx on the UCC7VTAM statement in the initialization file. Change the LINE and TERM statement with xxx#nnn so that the nnn is changed to the number of terminals available online.
- If you use the ISPF interface and want to have more terminals available to it, change the CA7CLIST SESSAPL keyword. You can use SESSAPL(TSO9999) to enable the use of all available virtual terminals in the ISPF interface.
Changing terminal definitions requires a specified ERST type start of CA7ONL.
Business Value:
Additional personnel can require more terminal definitions.
