CA Integrated Agent Services (CA IAS) lets CA 7, a CA mainframe scheduling manager, submit and track work to various distributed platforms like Windows and UNIX. CA IAS also lets the scheduling managers monitor CPU and disk usage on distributed platforms, transfer files, and more.
CA IAS provides a communication layer between the CA scheduling manager and CA Workload Automation agents.
The CA mainframe scheduling manager is responsible for determining when jobs are sent to the agent.
A scheduling manager has its own method for defining jobs and when they are executed. The scheduling managers also have their own methods for interacting with CA IAS. For more information about how the scheduling manager interacts with CA IAS, see the documentation for your scheduling manager.
