When a job submitted by CA Workload Automation SE abends or terminates with unacceptable condition codes, it is automatically moved back to the request queue and flagged for restart. A RESTART requirement is placed on the job so that this situation is acknowledged. All corrective actions such as catalog cleanup, JCL overrides, and so forth, should be done before the job is resubmitted. Many of the corrective actions can be handled by CA WA Restart Option, if the CA WA Restart Option RMS step is in the job or inserted by CA Workload Automation SE.
When CA WA Restart Option is installed and the interface for automatic CMT updating is installed, CA Workload Automation SE attempts to use the QM.4 panel fields to update the CMT directly before submitting the job.
