/XCF Command

The /XCF command provides a mechanism to delete obsolete records in the XCF checkpoint data set.

The /XCF command uses XCF messaging to perform this function. If the command is is entered and XCF is turned off, a message is issued stating that CA Workload Automation SE is not using XCF.

Note: The record is not actually deleted. It is only flagged as being deleted. The LXCF,LIST=SMF command does not display records flagged as deleted. To physically delete the record, you must reformat the XCF checkpoint data set with program SASSXKPI. (See the N707 install job.)

This command has the following format:

►►─ /XCF ─ ,OPT= ─┬─ D ───┬─ ,SMF=xxxx ─ ,INST=xxxx ──────────────────────────►◄
                  └─ DEL ─┘
OPT

Specifies the option. The only option available is delete.

D|DEL

SMF

Specifies the SMF ID of the system on which the ICOM was running.

xxxx

Identifies the SMF ID in the record to delete.

INST

Specifies the CA Workload Automation SE instance with which the ICOM was communicating.

xxxx

Identifies the CA Workload Automation SE instance in the record to delete.
