CAI-DATEFMT—Date Format

The CAI-DATEFMT variable indicates the date format to use. CA Workload Automation Agent for HP Integrity NonStop prefers a date format that comprised of a day (dd or ddd), a month (mm or mmm) and a year (yy or yyyy).

You can arrange the date elements in any order, but can use each element only once.

Default: mm/dd/yyyy

We recommend that you to use the same date format for all systems, so that they are consistent, preferably, the default date format is used on your HP Integrity NonStop system. A description of each date element follows.

dd

Specifies a day of the month, from 01 to 31.

The range of days in January is 01 to 31. The range of days in February is 01 to 28, except during a leap year when the range is 01 to 29.

ddd

Specifies a Julian day, from 001 to 366.

mm

Specifies a numeric month, from 01 to 12.

mmm

Specifies a non-numeric month.

Valid specifications are: JAN, FEB, MAR, APR, MAY, JUN, JUL, AUG, SEP, OCT, NOV, and DEC.

yy

Specifies a valid year, from 00 to 99.

Any year in the range 00 to 59 is translated internally as a 21century date (2000-2059). Any year in the range 60 to 99 is translated internally as a 20 century date (1960-1999).

yyyy

Specifies a valid year, from 1960 to 2099.

Note: The valid date range is January 1, 1960 (01-JAN-1960) through December 31, 2099 (31-DEC-2099). A separator character must separate the date elements. Valid separator characters are: hyphen (-), period (.), slash (/), comma (,), or space ( ).

Limits: Up to 12 alphanumeric bytes
