Depending on the CA EEM security rights assigned by your administrator, you may not have access to all functionality in Monitoring. The following are examples of functionality that is not available:
- If you are not authorized to create and modify a view, you cannot add, modify, or delete a filter associated with the view. If you are not authorized to create, modify, copy, or delete views, clicking Execute simply displays an error message in the View Management Console dialog.
- If you are not authorized to use Quick Edit or Quick View in context, selecting the Edit, Open, or Show Details options or icons simply displays an error message at the top of the page.
- If you are not authorized to send events, the send event and job actions functions are not available from the Monitoring and details pages.
Note: Any authorization changes to views and servers become effective only when you log in or perform a manual refresh. All other policy changes take effect within the time specified in the Security Collector Run Interval field set in Configuration Manager.
