Remove Temporary Legacy Agent Log Files

You can specify whether the legacy agents remove the temporary log files when a job completes successfully.

A file is created in the agent log directory for every job that CA Workload Automation AE runs. If you select the Legacy Clean Temporary Files check box, the legacy agents remove the C:\tmp\auto_rem* file from the local agent logging directory when a job completes successfully.

If you clear the Legacy Clean Temporary Files check box, the files remain in the directories until you run the clean_files process. If a job is not successful, the files remain in the directory for diagnostic purposes regardless of the setting. Therefore, with either of the settings, we recommend that you run the clean_files process periodically to remove files after unsuccessful job completions.
