Append Event Message Text to Event Messages

You can specify whether the text associated with an event is appended to the corresponding event message or printed as a standalone message in the scheduler log file.

Notes:

Follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, Programs, CA, Workload Automation AE, Administrator.

    The Instance - CA Workload Automation AE Administrator window opens.

  2. Select an instance from the Instance drop-down list in the Settings pane.
  3. Click the Services icon on the toolbar.

    The Services - CA Workload Automation AE Administrator window appears, displaying a list of services installed on the selected instance.

  4. Right-click the scheduler and select Stop.

    The scheduler stops.

  5. Click the Scheduler icon on the toolbar.

    The Scheduler - CA Workload Automation AE Administrator window appears.

  6. Click the Options tab, select the Append Event Message Text check box in the Settings pane, and click Apply.
  7. Click the Services icon on the toolbar.

    The Services - CA Workload Automation AE Administrator window appears, displaying a list of services installed on the selected instance.

  8. Right-click the scheduler and select Start.

    The scheduler starts. When an event message is written to the scheduler log file, the corresponding text is appended to the message. In the event message, the text is displayed after the keyword TEXT.

    Note: If you clear the Append Event Message Text check box, the event message text is printed as a standalone message.
