Dynamically Add or Remove Memory

You can dynamically add or remove memory to VMs that have been provisioned. If hot plug is enabled for the VM, you can dynamically add memory during runtime.

To add memory

  1. Click Resources.

    The Resources page appears.

  2. Open the Explore pane.

    Available groups, services, and systems appear.

  3. Find and right-click a virtual machine on the Explore pane, or click the Quick Start tab, and select Add/Remove Memory.

    The Modify Virtual Memory dialog appears.

  4. Adjust the memory according to your needs.

    A message prompts for confirmation.

  5. Click Ok.

    A message appears confirming the modification.

    Note: To remove memory, the VM must be turned off.
