Add or Remove Virtual Disk

You can dynamically add or remove virtual disks from a VM. The following disks can be added:

To add a virtual disk

  1. Click Resources.

    The Resources page appears.

  2. Open the Explore pane.

    Available groups, services, and systems appear.

  3. Find and right-click a virtual machine on the Explore pane, or click the Quick Start tab, and select Add New Disk.

    The Add New Disk dialog appears.

  4. Enter the new disk details according to your needs.

    A message prompts for confirmation.

  5. Click Ok.

    A message appears confirming that the new disk is added.

To remove a virtual disk

  1. Click Resources.

    The Resources page appears.

  2. Open the Explore pane.

    Available groups, services, and systems appear.

  3. Find and right-click a virtual machine on the Explore pane, or click the Quick Start tab, and select Delete Disk.

    The Delete Disk dialog appears.

  4. Select the hard drive and whether to delete data.

    A message prompts for confirmation.

  5. Click Ok.

    A message appears confirming that the disk is deleted.
