Run the Installation Jobs for a Tape Installation

Submit and run these SAMPJCL members in sequence. Do not proceed with any job until the previous job has completed successfully.

Follow these steps:

Note: The default middle level qualifier name of the SMP/E CSI has been removed beginning with Release 11.6. If upgrading from a previous release, ensure that the correct, complete name of your CSI is specified in the PARM= on the execute card for the following jobs.

1. Open the SAMPJCL member BRM3RECT in an edit session and execute the BRMSEDIT macro from the command line.

   BRM3RECT is customized.

2. Submit the yourhlq.SAMPJCL member BRM3RECT to receive SMP/E base functions.

   CA View is received and now resides in the global zone.

3. Open the SAMPJCL member BRM4APP in an edit session and execute the BRMSEDIT macro from the command line.

   BRM4APP is customized.

   Important! The APPLY of CA View Version 12.0 deletes all previous releases of CA View.

4. Submit the yourhlq.SAMPJCL member BRM4APP to apply SMP/E base functions.

   Your product is applied and now resides in the target libraries.

5. Open the SAMPJCL member BRM5ACC in an edit session and execute the BRMSEDIT macro from the command line.

   BRM5ACC is customized.

6. Submit the yourhlq.SAMPJCL member BRM5ACC to accept SMP/E base functions.

   Your product is accepted and now resides in the distribution libraries.
