Reason:
When CA VM:Tape tried to perform an I/O, the tape drive raddr showed a permanent I/O error. The system puts the drive in DRAINED status until the site's tape operators, system programmers, or support personnel can determine the cause of the error. CA VM:Tape operation continues.
Action:
Determine the cause of the I/O error. Use the CA VM:Tape START raddr command to remove the drive from DRAINED status and make it usable.
