Reason:
A permanent I/O error occurred while CA VM:Tape was trying to find or read the VTOC on the Shared Tape Allocation Manager (STAM) control file device. This error is possible only when STAM is running in OS mode. STAM abends. The device specified as the STAM control file device does not have a valid OS VTOC format.
Action:
Contact OS STAM support personnel.
