The DISP MOD option on the FILEDEF command lets you append records to the end of an existing data set on tape. When you use this option, CMS does not support multivolume processing. You must therefore be sure before you run a program that uses this option that all the records you want to append will fit on the first tape CA VM:Tape mounts.
