REJECT Command

[Authorization: OPERATOR]

If the Autopick facility is active and CA VM:Tape has selected a scratch tape that you cannot locate or mount to satisfy a request, use the REJECT command to make CA VM:Tape select a different scratch tape.

CA VM:Tape keeps track of the number of times you reject a given tape. If your system administrator has defined a threshold for the number of times you can reject a tape and that threshold is exceeded, CA VM:Tape advises the system administrator that the tape may be lost or damaged and does not select the tape again.

You can only reject tapes for which there is an outstanding mount request.
