The following provides a description of each parameter:
Halts the interface
Starts the interface; messages report on locations affected and provide statistics such as total number of tapes, scratch tapes, and free cells.
Displays the current status of the interface and lists the number of processes (such as mount or allocation requests) that are waiting to use the interface
Specifies an LMS command to submit to LMS as an operator command and displays the responses; if CA VM:Tape is authorized to use LMS commands, you can submit any type of LMS command
Possible statuses for the interface are as follows:
CA VM:Tape has established a connection to the LMS.
CA VM:Tape has not been able to connect to the LMS but is trying periodically
If the interface remains in CONNECTING status for more than a few minutes, check the LMS service virtual machine to ensure that it is functioning correctly.
The interface between CA VM:Tape and the LMS has been halted.
