Parameter Description
The following provides a description of each parameter:
- vaddr userid
-
Specifies the mount request to change by mount virtual address and requesting user ID. You can use an asterisk for userid to indicate your own user ID.
[Authorization: OPERATOR]
You must have OPERATOR authorization to change another user ID's mount request.
- POOL poolname
-
For a scratch mount request, indicates that CA VM:Tape is to select the scratch tape from a different pool, and specifies that pool.
- LOCation location
-
Indicates that CA VM:Tape is to redirect the tape mount to different tape drives and specifies the location of those tape drives. For more information about values for location, see LOCation location Option.
- RDEVice raddr
-
[Authorization: REALUNIT]
Indicates that CA VM:Tape is to redirect the tape mount to a specific tape drive and specifies the real address of that tape drive.
- DRIVELIST [ NOREORDER ] drive1 [ ACTIVE | EXEMPT ] ...
-
- ... [ [ NOREORDER ] drive2 [ ACTIVE | EXEMPT ] ...
-
- ... [ NOREORDER ] driven [ ACTIVE | EXEMPT ] ]
-
Specifies changes in the ordering, status, or both of drives in the eligible drive list for the mount request. (The mount process must be in the drive allocation phase for you to use this parameter.)
- The eligible drive list lists the drives in the order in which CA VM:Tape will check them for availability. The list also indicates each drive's status. (You can use the QUERY DRIVELIST command to display the eligible drive list.)
- You can change a drive's order in the list, its status, or both. By default, CA VM:Tape moves the drives you identify on this parameter to the top of the eligible drive list. If a drive is currently exempt and you want to make it active and available for selection, specify the ACTIVE option next to that drive. If a drive is currently active and you want to make it exempt from selection, specify the EXEMPT option next to that drive.
- If you want to change a drive's status without changing its order in the eligible drive list, precede it with the keyword NOREORDER. If you want to move a drive to the top of the eligible drive list but not change its status, do not specify either the ACTIVE or EXEMPT option.
